I just took a glimpse at the pitching match-ups for tonight’s games. Here’s a sample:
Bonderman facing the Indians, the enigmatic Oliver Perez against the D-Backs, Brad Penny against Tom Gorzelanny, Tim Lincecum against Freddy Garcia, Dontrelle Willis against Ben Sheets, Johan Santana against the surprisingly outstanding Chad Gaudin, and finishing off with Andy Pettitte against Josh Beckett.

It was good to see some more baseball news being reported in the British Sunday papers today. The Sunday Times had a piece about the imminent return of the Rocket (obviously, it doesn’t take into account the breaking news about his debut being put on hold), as well as taking a brief look at the problems besetting the Yanks so far this season. The article can be found here. Any “non-drugs” coverage of the game has got to be a good thing. Let’s hope there is more of it in the future.
