SWAT keeps on rolling with a 12-0 sweep of the Gas, although a lot of the categories ended up very close. It’s tough on the Gas to come away empty-handed in a week with some very good offensive numbers, but SWAT  had the extra edge thanks to Werth and Miguel Cabrera among others.

Another sweep this week, as things clicked for my Isotopes against the Bangers. Utley, Howard, Dunn and Young put up some big numbers while Tommy Hanson led an in-form pitching staff.

A week after pushing SWAT, Warfare madea good fight of it against the ‘Cuse, losing 7-5. It wasn’t a vintage week for hitters, with the ‘Cuse nicking average by .001 with a .246, but just did enough to take wins, Ks and WHIP thanks to Ricky Nolasco and Rich Harden.

A big win for the Stuff helps Chris after last week’s disappointment, thanks to the bats of Garrett Jones and Carlos Pena and the pitching of Carpenter. Cliff Lee was excellent for the Typos, as were Zobrist, Morgan and McCann.

Bonestalkers are over .500 thanks to a 6-3 win over the Bats. Both teams’ pitchers took a battering this week, with a 5.98 ERA good enough to win, although the duo of Street (four saves) and Sabathia were on top form.

A very close matchup saw the Chasers squeeze past the Whos, with seven categories which could have gone either way. Brian Roberts was the Chasers’ key man, while Yunel Escobar, Youkilis and Ubaldo Jiminez were the pick of the Whos.

RussDev Giants 32 9 25 2 .308 .913 0 4 26 0 2.70 0.85 6

It was three hitting and three pitching categories each as the Angels and Giants tied 6-6. Carlos Quentin and Ted Lilly put up good numbers for the Angels, while Mauer and Verlander were the pick of the Giants.

SWAT are now two games ahead of the Isotopes, with the ‘Cuse dropping back to 6.5 games out. The Stuff look good for a top four finish, with an 11 game lead over the fifth-placed Chasers. The Angels are in sixth, two games ahead of the Giants and Bats. Bonestalkers are still in with a shot at the playoffs, although the Whos, Typos and Bangers will need a string of big wins to get back in contention.

This week, SWAT take on the Giants, my Isotopes face the Angels, the ‘Cuse play the Bats and the Stuff tackle the Chasers.

My Chasers seemed to be trailing all of the week, so I was very happy to see I had sneaked a win right at the death. 6-5 was a decent result considering my offense only batted .247.

I’m hanging in those playoff spots!
