Josh Hamilton continued his incredible week with a two-homer performance as the Rangers defeated the Angels 10-3.<\/p>\n

The game didn’t go to plan for former Ranger C.J. Wilson as he could only throw 22 pitches before the contest was brought to a halt by heavy rain. The delay lasted nearly two hours so Wilson didn’t return to the mound and that landed him with a loss on a pitching line of 0.1 innings pitched and \u00c2\u00a0four earned runs conceded.<\/p>\n

However he gets the chance to make amends immediately as the Angels have decided to start him on Saturday due to his light workload yesterday.<\/p>\n

The Angels-Rangers encounter is one of four games scheduled to start before midnight UK time today.\u00c2\u00a0All times are in BST.<\/p>\n

The Brewers beat the Cubs 8-7 in 13 innings yesterday. Corey Hart was the home side’s hero as he hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to send the game to extras and then singled home the walk-off game-winning run.<\/p>\n

Miami’s Ricky Nolasco is making a bid for a bit of history today. He equalled the Marlins’ team record of 68 pitching wins in his most recent outing, drawing level with Dontrelle Willis, and will attempt to move out in front as the all-time Marlins leader in wins today against the Mets. Miami snapped the Mets’ five-game winning streak yesterday with a walk-off 6-5 win, but they are up against a difficult opponent today as knuckleballer R.A. Dickey was at his trickiest best last time out against the D-Backs.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile the New York Yankees have a home game against the Seattle Mariners. Jesus Montero predictably hit a home run in his return to Yankee Stadium last night and Hector Noesi will be keen to have a similarly positive performance against his former team today. Raul Ibanez’s three-run homer helped the Yankees to a 6-2 victory in the series opener yesterday over King Felix Hernandez.<\/p>\n
