\"\"<\/a>Th<\/span>is post announces the rules for the British Baseball Writing Awards,\u00c2\u00a0<\/span>which are being run by Project COBB in conjunction with\u00c2\u00a0<\/span>BaseballGB<\/em>. A fund has\u00c2\u00a0<\/span>been established to provide a first prize of \u00c2\u00a350 in vouchers and a second prize of \u00c2\u00a325 in vouchers for the competition in 2013. It is hoped that funding can be found to continue the competition in future years, should there be enough interest.

The competition is now accepting entries. For details of how to submit your work, please contact Joe Gray via this contact form<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The rules<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Pieces must have been written in 2013 and focus on one or more elements of British baseball (historical or current).<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Pieces should constitute prose of between 500 and 2500 words.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Individuals may submit up to three pieces each year.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Entries will be accepted up until 11.59pm on 30 September.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. The first-place and runner-up entries will be announced before the end of 2013.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. The judging panel comprises the Project COBB coordinator, Joe Gray, and the\u00c2\u00a0<\/span>BaseballGB<\/em> site editor, Matt Smith.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. The competition is not open to members of the judging panel.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. In submitting a piece, the entrant is confirming that he or she is happy for it to be published by Project COBB and\/or <\/span>BaseballGB<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0(a name credit will be given).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
