\"CovMLBUK2014\"<\/a>We’re into the interleague phase of the season (acknowledging that we have some<\/em> interleague play all season long now).<\/p>\n

A number of teams are playing four games against each other, with two being played at one ballpark and then another two being played at the other (they are seen as two two-game series rather than one four-game series).<\/p>\n

That means we have an unusual look to the pre-midnight start-time schedule.<\/p>\n

Day-games on Tuesdays normally are rare, but several pairs of teams are using that as an early start so that they can hop on a plane and play each other at another location the next day. This then means that Wednesday, typically the best evening of the working week to catch some baseball live is absent of any day-time baseball, before we get back to it on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The early games give us a chance to watch recent call-ups Carlos Correra of the Houston Astros and Byron Buxton of the Minnesota Twins twice this week (pending them being selected, of course).<\/p>\n

ESPN\/BT Sport will also be showing some games from the College Baseball World Series live this week, so there’s an additional option for your baseball fix to enjoy.<\/p>\n
