After a disappointing crop of games last week, the next five days are full of baseball that can be watched live at a convenient time in Britain.<\/p>\n
There are twenty-one games scheduled to begin before midnight British Summer Time.\u00c2\u00a0 Eleven take place today on Memorial Day in the States and we then have early games to enjoy on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/p>\n
Monday 25<\/strong><\/p>\n 18.10. Astros @ Reds – Rodriguez (5-2), Harang (4-4)\u00c2\u00a0 We are spoilt for choice today, with games beginning throughout the evening to end our Bank Holiday weekend in style.<\/p>\n The potential highlights include Chris Carpenter making his second start after another spell on the DL,\u00c2\u00a0 Justin Verlander and Gil Meche matching up in Kansas City and David Price’s return to the Big Leagues with the Rays.\u00c2\u00a0 We are also able to take a look at Wandy Rodriguez to get an idea of a) why he has been so successful this season and b) whether that success is going to last much longer.<\/p>\n Tuesday 26<\/strong><\/p>\n Tomorrow is the one day of the working week where we don’t have any live baseball to watch during the British evening.\u00c2\u00a0 Not that we can complain too much about it.<\/p>\n Wednesday 27<\/strong><\/p>\n 18.05. Cardinals @ Brewers – Wellemeyer (4-4), Parra (3-5)\u00c2\u00a0 If the Man Utd-Barcelona Champions League final doesn’t appeal to you, there is a decent selection of ballgames to watch instead on Wednesday.\u00c2\u00a0 Even if you do want to watch the football, that still leaves you time to take in most of a Roy Halladay start, which is an opportunity not to be missed.\u00c2\u00a0 A little later on, Carlos Zambrano takes the mound for the Cubs against the Buccos and Clayton Kershaw pitches for the Dodgers\u00c2\u00a0at Coors Field against the Rockies.<\/p>\n Thursday 28<\/strong><\/p>\n 17.05. Rays @ Indians – Niemann (4-3), Huff (0-1)\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 There are only five games in the Majors on Thursday, but two of them will be played in the daytime.\u00c2\u00a0 David Huff has struggled in his first two Major League starts for the Indians, while Anthony Swarzak was brilliant in his debut for the Twins on Saturday against the Brewers.\u00c2\u00a0 Both youngsters have tough assignments in their next starts as the two AL Central teams host AL East opponents.<\/p>\n Friday 29<\/strong><\/p>\n 19.20. Dodgers @ Cubs -\u00c2\u00a0Billingsley (6-2),\u00c2\u00a0Lilly (5-4)\u00c2\u00a0 We end the week with two early games.\u00c2\u00a0 The Dodgers and Cubs normally produce exciting contests and the omens are good for another one with Chad Billingsley and Ted Lilly scheduled to be the starting pitchers.\u00c2\u00a0 Later on we have the first game of a double-header between the A’s and the Rangers.\u00c2\u00a0 It looks like Edgar Gonzalez will make his second start for the A’s in this one, with Josh Outman and Brandon McCarthy pitching in the\u00c2\u00a0later game.<\/p>\n
