The Rockies are\u00c2\u00a0in action\u00c2\u00a0again, this time with a split-squad team, taking on the reigning NL West champs.\u00c2\u00a0 Kip Wells starts for Colorado, searching for a return to form after a tough 2007 with the Cardinals which saw him go 7-17 with a 5.70 ERA.\u00c2\u00a0 Micah Owings takes the ball for the D-Backs.\u00c2\u00a0 Both are likely to throw two innings, possibly three if they can get through the first two frames quickly.\u00c2\u00a0 Pitchers often keep the bat on their shoulder during Spring Training, although you wouldn’t be surprised if Owings wants to get some swings in.\u00c2\u00a0 Perhaps we will see him pinch hitting this season?\u00c2\u00a0 Judging by his hitting audition last year, he’s got the bat for it.<\/p>\n
