The 2009 postseason is officially underway after the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Colorado Rockies 5-1.\u00c2\u00a0 Cliff Lee completely vindicated manager Charlie Manuel’s decision to start him in the series opener by pitching a complete game, taking a shutout into the ninth inning for good measure.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/p>\n
Yesterday’s ‘play-in’ game between the Tigers and Twins caused consternation among ‘International’ subscribers to MLB.TV as the only viewing option available was TBS’s HotCorner feature: a series of static cameras rather than the proper TV feed.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
Thankfully that was a one-off and those of us outside the U.S. borders (and a few other places also covered by\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c2\u00a0blackout) can\u00c2\u00a0follow all of the postseason games live via the usual MLB.TV, GamedayAudio routes\u00c2\u00a0and on archive after the games are completed.\u00c2\u00a0 Note that ‘International’ fans who subscribed to\u00c2\u00a0any of the MLB.com packages\u00c2\u00a0for the regular season get the postseason as well: you do not need to buy the postseason package separately.\u00c2\u00a0 ESPN America\u00c2\u00a0is also showing a decent number of postseason games.
