The Championship Series stage of the postseason begins today.\u00c2\u00a0 In the NLCS, the Philadelphia Phillies continue their bid to retain their World Series crown against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.\u00c2\u00a0 The Los Angeles Angels and New York Yankees get their ALCS started tomorrow at the new Yankee Stadium.<\/p>\n
There are two guaranteed early games in the schedule.\u00c2\u00a0 Game two of the NLCS on Friday begins at 21.07 BST, while first pitch in the third game of the ALCS next Monday (19th) is scheduled for 21.13 BST.\u00c2\u00a0 There is a third possible early game scheduled for a week on Saturday (24th), but it will only be played at that time if the NLCS goes to a seventh game. If the NLCS has been decided already then the ALCS game six will move to the primetime slot. Add that to the list of reasons why we should all hope for two long series after an exciting, but relatively brief, divisional series round.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/p>\n
The full LCS schedule is listed below with all times in British Summer Time.\u00c2\u00a0 Whenever I provide a list of \u00e2\u20ac\u02dclate\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 games, I always wonder quite how best to do it.\u00c2\u00a0 Game One of the NLCS will be referred to by everyone else as being played today, although in effect it starts on Friday for us.\u00c2\u00a0 Hopefully the following approach makes sense.<\/p>\n

Friday 23 Oct. <\/strong> Saturday 24\u00c2\u00a0Oct. <\/strong> Sunday 25\u00c2\u00a0Oct. * = if necessary TBS’s divsional series\u00c2\u00a0coverage has come in for some criticism and they could undoubtedly do with raising their game for the NLCS.\u00c2\u00a0 FOX will be covering the ALCS.<\/p>\n I will resist the urge to provide a prediction on who will make it through to the World Series.\u00c2\u00a0 My recent support for the Rockies and Twins has doomed them both, the A\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s had a lacklustre year and my prediction back before the season began – a Red Sox-Mets Fall Classic – has well and truly\u00c2\u00a0fallen apart\u00c2\u00a0(Joe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s prediction of an all L.A.
