And achieved it has been, with news stories appearing in three newspapers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/sport\/other-sports\/2009\/11\/04\/norman-wells-snr-and-the-late-sir-john-moores-are-inducted-into-british-baseball-hall-of-fame-100252-25086050\/\" target=\"_blank\">Liverpool Echo<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<li>the <em><a href=\"http:\/\/icseftonandwestlancs.icnetwork.co.uk\/icbootle\/sport\/tm_headline=fame-at-last-for-trojan-norman&amp;method=full&amp;objectid=25094063&amp;siteid=60252-name_page.html#story_continue\" target=\"_blank\">Bootle Times<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<li>and the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.southportvisiter.co.uk\/southport-sport\/2009\/11\/06\/baseball-fanatic-norman-wells-has-been-honoured-with-an-award-101022-25102004\/\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.southportvisiter.co.uk\/southport-sport\/2009\/11\/06\/baseball-fanatic-norman-wells-has-been-honoured-with-an-award-101022-25102004\/\" target=\"_blank\">Southport Visiter<\/a><\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The prominence of baseball in the Merseyside sports press could not have come at a more useful time for the region&#8217;s dominant team, the Liverpool Trojans. They are the oldest existing team in Britain but have been struggling of late to remain a strong force.
