Being a baseball fan in Britain requires you to know the time differences between the main time zones in the States and our own.\u00c2\u00a0 They are etched into our brains soon after the first occasion when we miss the start of a game due to getting it wrong (well, that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s how it worked in my case).\u00c2\u00a0 Eastern is 5 hours behind us, Central is 6 hours behind, Pacific is 8 hours behind.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, there are two weeks in the year when this changes.\u00c2\u00a0 Currently the U.S. and Canada (or most parts of them at least) move to Daylight Saving Time a week before we do and come out of DST a week later.\u00c2\u00a0 This year the dates work out as being 14 March\/21 March and 7 November\/31 October.\u00c2\u00a0 So for the next seven days you need to take one hour off<\/strong> the standard time differences, until we add an hour to our time zone in the early hours of next Sunday and move into British Summer Time.<\/p>\n

The main MLB site generally lists start times in Eastern Time, although the local time zone will be used if you look up a schedule on a team\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s official site.\u00c2\u00a0 All this means that:<\/p>\n
