LA Angels at Detroit (Scott Kazmir – Jeremy Bonderman) Roy Halladay gets his first taste of the Mets-Phillies rivalry with New York putting their eight-game winning streak on the line.\u00c2\u00a0 Fellow NL East team the Braves brought a nine-game losing streak to an end yesterday with a 4-2 win over the Astros.\u00c2\u00a0 Atlanta got the better of former Philly Brett Myers in a game that Wandy Rodriguez would have started if a back injury hadn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t knocked him off his regular schedule.\u00c2\u00a0 Rodriguez goes today instead against Tim Hudson.\u00c2\u00a0 Carlos Silva looks to continue his surprisingly good start to the season for the Cubs against Dan Haren and the D-Backs after the two teams combined for 16 runs yesterday (more on that in WHGB on Monday), while Matt Cain takes the mound for the Giants against the Rockies.<\/p>\n In the American League, the Angels will hope Scott Kazmir can reduce his walks (four last time out against the Yankees), pitch a bit deeper into the game (averaging 5 innings per start) and avoid the sort of big inning (8 runs in the fourth) that did for them yesterday against the Tigers.
