There were some monster offensive numbers in week 13 of the BaseballGB Fantasy League – but would the team-mates of the red-hot hitters also contribute?

Iron Men picked up a 9-3 win against the Riverkings in a matchup with plenty of offense for both teams. Myers scored six runs, homered twice, knocked in seven and stole three bases while Correa drove in nine runs. Iwakuma won twice, Scherzer helped take ERA and WHIP and Gomez had two saves. The Riverkings had an absolute monster week from Espinosa, who homered five times and knocked in 17, but the team fell an RBI short. Fernandez racked up eight strikeouts.

The Bombers failed to meet the 20-inning minimum limit, helping my Isotopes to a 9-3 win. Marte scored seven runs and joined Trout, who hit .476, in swiping three bases. Wainwright had a win and 12 strikeouts while Stroman helped tale ERA and WHIP. Bryant’s five homers and 10 RBIs helped the Bombers take those categories, while Corey Seager and Rendon helped take OPS.

A pitching sweep helped Norwich defeat Batteries Essential 8-3. Duffy won twice with 16 strikeouts while Fulmer and Salazar did not allow an earned run and helped take WHIP. Five players had multi-homer weeks, including three from Rizzo and two from Franco, who knocked in eight. Carlos Santana and Crawford helped Batteries Essential take average and OPS and joined Cespedes, Cruz and Span in scoring five runs.

The Chasers continued their good run of form to climb above .500 with a 7-4 win against the Maltsters. Donaldson scored 11 runs, hit three homers, knocked in nine and helped take average and OPS. Choo homered three times. Quintana struck out a dozen and Jansen collected three saves. It wasn’t a great week for the pitchers, but Paxton picked up a win and helped take ERA while Estrada made the difference in WHIP.

The Knights suffered a rare defeat as Jesmond ran out 7-5 winners. Dozier hit .400 and knocked in nine, joining Votto and Semien in hitting three homers. Taillon helped take wins and ERA. For the Knights, Price struck out 10, Garcia helped take WHIP, Robertson had two saves and Kinsler scored eight runs.

The Slugs are just one category under .500 after the 7-5 win against the RBIs. Jose Ramirez and harper helped take average, OPS and stole two bases each. Archer struck out 19 while de Grom helped take ERA and WHIP and Herrera had two holds. Morales had a monster week for the RBIs with six runs, four homers and 10 RBIs. Happ won twice and Melancon picked up a pair of saves.

Finally, another close matchup saw the Lollygaggers defeat the Sox 7-5. Becknams ran wild with 12 steals, including three from Revere and Altuve, who also scored eight runs. Both players also helped take average. Kazmir and Wacha each won twice with double-digit strikeouts while K-Rod had three saves. For the Sox, Encarnacion hit three homers, knocked in 10 and helped take OPS. Hellickson helped take ERA and WHIP.

After a rather, er, eventful couple of days in the UK it’s time to forget all things Brexit and look back at week 12 of the BaseballGB Fantasy League.

After a miserable week in the previous matchup, my hitters upped their game to defeat the RBIs 10-2. Lindor scored seven runs and hit three homers while five other players including Trout and Wilson Contreras went deep twice. Sale won twice with 16 strikeouts while Reed had two holds. Teheran helped take ERA and WHIP. The RBIs salvaged average thanks to Machado and Moss while Rodney and Melancon had three saves each.

The Slugs picked up an 8-3 win against the Sox in a matchup featuring plenty of offense. Story hit .333 and scored eight runs while Harper and Herrera stile two bases each. Bum,garner struck out 15, de Grom helped take ERA and WHIP and Vizcaino had three saves. Ozuna hit three homers for the So while CarGo and Kemp knocked in six each.

Jesmond defeated the Lollygaggers 8-3, falling an RBI shy of an offensive sweep. Four players had multi-homer weeks, including Stanton (seven runs) and Semien (six RBIs) while Dozier hit .400. Pomeranz and Hendricks helped take ERA and WHIP while Osuna and Ramos had two saves each. Kennedy had a win and 13 strikeouts for the Lollygaggers while Hernandez had the lone hold.

The Maltsters used an offensive sweep to defeat the Riverkings 7-4. Segura scored 11 times and stole five bases while Blackmon hit .424 with five homers, nine runs and nine RBIs. Clippard had four holds. For the Riverkings, Fernandez had a win, 20 strikeouts and helped take ERA and WHIP.

The Knights squeezed past Norwich 7-5 in a battle between the top two. An offensive sweep was powered buy Desmond (.500, three homers) and Lamb (eight RBIs) while Robertson had three saves. Carrasco helped take wins, strikeouts, ERA and WHIP for Norwich.

The Chasers are back at .500 after defeating the Bombers 6-3. Escobar, Choo and Donaldson helped take ERA and OPS while Kluber struck out nine and helped take ERA and WHIP. Adam Jones was the star for the Bombers, hitting two homers, scoring nine times and driving in seven.

Finally, Iron Men got the better of Batteries Essential 6-4. Roark had a win, 12 strikeouts and helped take ERA and WHIP while Correa helped edge RBIs by knocking in nine and teaming with Pujols to take OPS. Familia had four saves for Batteries Essential while Santana scored seven runs and swiped a base and Cespedes hit .368.

The top two are doing battle in week 12, so could the Knights extend their lead in the BaseballGB Fantasy League before taking on Norwich?

The Knights used an offensive sweep to power a 10-2 win against Iron Men. Saunders hit four homers, Pederson swatted three and Lamb and Big Papi each had a pair while Desmond scored seven runs. Price struck out 18 and teamed with Hammel and Strasburg to take WHIP while Harris had two saves and Strop notched a pair of holds. Scherzer made the difference in wins and ERA for Iron Men, who will feel hard done by not to win any offensive categories after belting 11 homers, including three from Myers.

Matt’s Chasers are on a charge up the standings, following up last week’s big win with an 8-4 score against the Riverkings. Donaldson was the clear star, belting three homers, scoring 11 runs, knocking in nine and batting .444 while Pillar hit three homers in an offensive sweep. Jansen had a win and two saves while Dyson notched three saves. Kershaw helped take strikeouts, ERA and WHIP for the Riverkings while Giles had two holds.

Batteries Essential also won 8-4, defeating the Maltsters, who forfeited all of the pitching categories by failing to meet the 20 inning minimum limit. Carlos Santana and Russell hit two homers each and Crawford knocked in seven for Batteries Essential, while Volquez won twice and the latest Shields meltdown didn’t prove costly to ERA and WHIP. Eaton hit .500 for the Maltsters and joined Goldschmidt in scoring six runs. Seven players stole a base.

Jesmond picked up a nice 8-4 win against the Slugs as they climb away from the bottom of the standings. Dozier scored seven runs and stole two bases while Stanton, Votto and Realmuto helped take average. Hendricks picked up a win, struck out 12 and helped take ERA and WHIP. Freeman hit three homers for the Slugs, while Gattis and Odubel Herrera each went deep twice. Kelvin Herrera had two holds.

Norwich are still second after defeating the Lollygaggers 7-3 in a big offensive week. Odor scored nine times and joined Rizzo and Duvall in belting three homers. Maeda and Carrasco each struck out 14, Fulmer was scored upon but still helped take ERA and Phelps had two holds. Revere stole five bases for Becknam while Molina made the difference in average. The Zacks – Greinke and Davies – helped Hamels, Wacha and Kennedy take WHIP.

The RBIs squeezed past the Bombers 6-5. Morales drove in eight and joined Ramos and Machado in hitting over .400 for the week. Tillman won twice, Gonzalez struck out 12 and Arrieta and Happ helped take ERA. Ziegler and Cishek had two saves each for the Bombers while Colby Lewis helped take WHIP with his near no-hitter. Perez and Hosmer scored seven runs each.

The Sox handed my Isotopes a 5-4 loss in a week where my offense completely vanished. In fact, they were so poor collectively I was probably lucky to only lose by one. Encarnacion hit three homers, scored seven times and knocked in nine, while Miggy and Seager each went deep twice. Fortunately my pitchers salvaged four categories as Teheran picked up a win, 15 strikeouts and helped take ERA and WHIP.

We start with the week’s biggest winners as the Chasers swept Batteries essential 12-0. Bogaerts was the main man, hitting .500, driving in 11 and joining Belt and Pillar with multi-homer weeks. Lester won twice, struck out 16 and didn’t allow an earned run. Dyson had three saves.

My Isotopes got back to winning ways, defeating Jesmond 10-2 in a matchup which was much closer for much of the week. Holliday and Trumbo had multi-homer weeks while Marte hit .400. Leake had a win and 11 strikeouts while Britton notched two saves. Villar and Upton salvaged steals for Jesmond while Carlos Martinez and the now-injured Cole made the difference in ERA.

Norwich picked up an 8-3 win against the Slugs. Odor had a three-homer week while Rizzo hit .360 and knocked in seven. Fulmer won twice without allowing an earned run and Betances collected two holds. Gardner scored eight runs for the Slugs while Jose Ramirez stole two bases and Archer racked up 20 strikeouts.

The RBIs claimed a 7-3 win against the Sox. Granderson hit three homers and JD Martinez hit .435 for the week. Pineda led the staff with 12 strikeouts and had a win, as did Tillman, who helped take ERA and WHIP. Encarnacion scored six runs for the Sox and joined Ozuna in driving in eight.

The Knights stay top after a 7-4 win against the Maltsters. Kinlser knocked in 10 and joined Saunders (who hit .500) and Desmond in having a multi-homer week. Betts stole two bases. Robertson and Colome had two saves each. For the Maltsters, Goldschmidt and Diaz scored six runs each. Wright and Gray helped take ERA and WHIP.

The Lollygaggers and Iron Men finished in a 6-6 tie. Davis hit five homers for Becknam while Altuve and revere batted .400 or better. Greinke, Hamels and Davies helped take ERA and WHIP. Cano and Ellsbury scored six runs for Iron men while Myers knocked in seven. Roark had a win and seven strikeouts while Jeffress had three saves.

Finally, the Riverkings and Bombers ended all square at 6-6. Moore and Kershaw each had a win and 13 strikeouts for the Riverkings, also helping take ERA and WHIP. The Bombers had the better of the offense as Jones hit three homers and Perez, Hosmer and Bryant went deep twice.
