The Chasers did their playoff hopes no harm at all with a clean sweep against the Super-Sox. Baez and Haniger were the leading hitters, each launching three homers. Javy hit .423 for the week with eight RBIs while Mitch crossed home eight times. Dee Gordon swiped two bases. Nola and Taillon each picked up wins, teaming with Roark to take ERA and WHIP while Scherzer struck out 10. Stammen and Brach had two holds each and Greene picked up the lone save. The Sox will feel hard done by not to have taken ERA and WHIP, as their stats would have been good enough to win those categories most other weeks.

The RBIs are still in the hunt for the final playoff place, defeating Batteries Essential 9-3. Asdrubal Cabrera scored five runs for the RBIs while three batters had multi-homer weeks, including Salvy Perez, who knocked in five. Shane Bieber won twice and led the staff with 12 strikeouts while Price and Newcomb posted great ERA and WHIP stats. Romo and Watson took care of saves and holds. Batteries Essential had a steal from Abreu (now on the DL) and two from Blackmon while Ramos hit .625. They forfeited all of the pitching categories by failing to reach to 20-inning minimum limit.

The Isotopes secured their playoff place with an 8-4 win over the Bombers. Yelich led the Isotopes with five runs, four homers and six RBIs while Realmuto and Puig stole two bases each. Morton led the pitchers with seven strikeouts while Colome had two wins and a hold in relief. Rondon and Hand each had a save and two holds. The Bombers took ERA and WHIP thanks to Foltynewicz but only made the 20 inning minimum limit (with no room to spare) thanks to Green’s 0.2 innings on Sunday. Kingery and the now injured Ozuna helped take average and OPS.

The Knights have also booked their playoff place after defeating the Maltsters 7-5. The pitchers did most of the heavy lifting, winning five categories as Buchholz (seven strikeouts) and Gausman each picked up wins without allowing earned runs and Anderson helped take WHIP. Norris and Jeffress had three saves each. Turner led the hitters with five runs and also stole a base. The Maltsters had a monster week from Marwin Gonzalez, who homered three times and drove in 10 while batting .385. J.D. Martinez hit .440 for the week and Strop and Miller had a hold each.

The Slugs closed the gap on the Riverkings with a narrow 6-5 win. Seven Slugs batters went deep, including three from Rizzo (.429) and two from Muncy (.444). Leclerc picked up two saves while Hill and Hamels were part of a great team effort on the ERA and WHIP front. Bregman scored six runs for the Riverkings while Moncada knocked in five and Betts stole two bases. Snell was the clear pitching star, winning twice while striking out 19.

Finally, Norwich edged past Beckenham 6-5. Peralta hit .400 for the week and knocked in six while Khris Davis homered three times and Harper and Story had two steals each. Buehler did not allow any earned runs and posted a 0.71 WHIP while Hader had three holds in a bumper week for the set-up guys. Chapman hit three homers and scored seven times for the A&E Dept while Wheeler had a win and joined Porcello in striking out 14. Diaz picked up three more saves as his assault on the single-season record continues.
