We begin with a rare big win for my team, as the Isotopes reached double figures with a 10-2 win over the Chasers. After many weeks of waiting, Carl Crawford finally hit like I knew he could and Montero and Aybar also contributed to a sweep of offensive categories. The pitching staff won four categories, helped by a big week for Kershaw and Ervin Santana. Matt had the edge in saves and ERA thanks to Kimbrel and the starting trio of Gonzalez, Lilly and Kennedy.

Chris got the better of the Croydon Pirate matchup, defeating JJ 8-3, taking five offensive categories thanks to Teixeira and Iannetta. Hamels and Hellickson helped the rotation take wins and strikeouts, but JJ took ERA and whip thanks to Price, Sabathia, Sanchez and Richard and despite Arroyo’s terrible week. Ibanez had three homers for Beck ‘Nams, who also welcomed Chase Utley back.

The Sox hitters made the difference in a 7-4 win against Redbacks, taking all the categories apart from RBIs, mainly thanks to the middle infield of Rollins and Johnson, while Braun went homerless but stole three bases. Jonathon Niese was the star of a well-pitched matchup, with a win and 11 strikeouts. Redbacks didn’t let Josh Johnson’s injury affect the staff too much, with League and Papelbon combining for five saves and Jurrjens winning twice and posting stingy ERA and WHIP numbers.

Another matchup, another 7-4. This time Bonestalkers swept the offensive categories to defeat the Angels, with Weeks, CarGo and Jose Reyes all in very good form. Dempster forced a tie in wins with a pair of victories while Putz had four saves. Cliff Lee was the Angels’ top starter, while Rodney picked up a pair of holds.

SWAT got the better of a tight matchup, defeating Iron Men 6-5 despite the season-ending injury to Buster Posey. Gallardo was SWAT’s star pitcher, while Bedard and Anderson were also excellent as the staff took five out of six categories. Iron Men had plenty of offense, with Bruce and Quentin each hitting three homers but the pitchers were winless.

A very tight matchup saw the Vendors edge past the Bet 5-4. More than half of the categories could have gone either way, but the Vendors’ pitching got the job done, taking four categories thanks to Beckett and Verlander. The Bet had the better offense, with Ethier in red-hot form and Asdrubal Cabrera having another good week.

We end with a low-scoring matchup as the Yankees defeated daebhid2 5-3. The Yankees took four offensive categories  thanks to a huge week from Granderson, making up for Heyward being on the DL. Ellsbury had a big week for Dave, providing power and speed. Incredibly, neither pitching staff could manage to collect a win or a save, something I don’t remember ever seeing before. There was a hold apiece while Wolf made the difference in strikeouts for the Yankees and Oswalt and Baker helped Dave take ERA and WHIP.
