Hello all. AÂ couple of weeks after Philip Humber’s perfect game, there was another no-hitter. Which manager benefitted from Jered Weaver’s efforts? And which managers are scrambling for saves after the rash of closer injuries and demotions?

The Yankees got the better of my Isotopes 6-5 in this week’s final matchup. Beckham, Alvarez and Montero provided the power while Broxton and Valverde combined for three saves. Five different pitchers won games for my team, with Price the pick of the bunch. Bastardo had three holds.
—————-
With the changes made to the closer roles for the Yankees, Marlins, Dodgers, White Sox, Padres and Angels it might be worth scouring the free agent pool for set-up guys who might collect the odd save over the next few weeks. This can be tricky if there are multiple candidates for saves, or if you have a surplus of closers, now could be a good time to talk trade.
The week six matchups are as follows:
Vendors (1st) v SWAT (2nd)
Chasers (3rd) v Beck ‘Nams (9th)
Riverkings (4th) v YD33s (17th)
Anglers (5th) v Iron Men (10th)
Stuff (6th) v RBIs (14th)
Sox (7th) v daebhid2 (13th)
Base On Balls (8th) v Expats (19th)
Bolts (11th) v Yankees (18th)
Bonestalkers (12th) v Isotopes (15th)
Pirates (16th) v Angels (20th)
Come on you Chasers!!! Things are going strangely well so far. Fingers crossed that the Vendors and SWAT have an even contest and my luck continues this week to help me close the gap.
