It’s been an exciting World Cup so far, yet England’s early exit may make baseball fans keen to find a diversion to their final group game on Tuesday.
Unfortunately MLB doesn’t offer any live contests that evening, but there are eight MLB games this working week scheduled to start before midnight U.K. time.
Wednesday is the most promising day with four games and several big-name pitchers: Tampa Bay’s David Price, Washington’s Stephen Strasburg and San Francisco’s Tim Lincecum.
For the second week in a row we have a Friday game from Wrigley Field that starts at 21.05 our time (15.05 locally), which is the best part of a couple of hours later than day-games normally start in Chicago (typically they’re 19.20., or 13.20 locally).
All times are in BST.
