The final week of August offers slim pickings when it comes to MLB games taking place during the British evening.
Wednesday and Thursday are the only days this working week that offer any day-games, subject to a rainout or two causing an unexpected doubleheader.
The potential highlight of the week comes on Wednesday when the court will be in session at Safeco Field. ‘King’ Felix Hernandez is the front runner for the AL Cy Young award and he’ll look to further his case against the Rangers whilst aiding Seattle’s playoff push. Unfortunately Seattle have changed their plans and pushed Hernandez’s next start back one day, so we will not be able to enjoy watching him pitch after all this week. The Mariners will find a spot-starter for the game instead.
