MLB this Week: Avoiding the General Election coverage

by Matt Smith

CovMLBUK2014There are eight MLB games scheduled to begin before midnight UK time this working week.

The best news is that five of them come on Thursday evening, so make for a good way to avoid some of the General Election coverage.

Wednesday offers us three games from the National League including a home start in Washington for Max Scherzer. What’s more, two of them are available on British TV and the other can be watched for free on MLB.com.

Thursday will be a good evening for central fans (in baseball terms, perhaps not in party political terms) as all five AL Central teams are playing day games, as are three of the five NL Central .
