Joe was brough back down to earth by fellow BaseballGB writer Russ. Runs, homers and RBIs remained close but Russ was boosted by 19 steals in a week, by far the most I can remember ever seeing in a head-to-head week, thanks to 11 from Carl Crawford. Joe put up very good ERA and WHIP, but Russ managed to better them thanks to strong outings from Verlander and Garza.

The Whos relied on their pitching to beat Bonestalkers 7-4, winning wins, saves and holds by one and both teams ended with identical WHIPs. Johan and Joba helped the Whos, while Youkilis was the star hitters. Bonestalkers still need to use the DL and bring in reinforcements.

The Bangers took a 7-3 winthanks to their hitters taking four out of six categories, led by Posada. Warfare’s ERA and WHIP were very impressive, but their hitters failed to go deep. They need to put injured players on the DL and pick up some replacements.

A tight matchup this week saw the Isotopes and the Bats share the hitting and pitching categories. Adam Dunn and Chase Utley each had three-homer weeks, but the Bats managed to score one more run. Dan Wheeler and Okajima comnibed for three holds.

The Gas took five of the hitting categories on the way to a 6-5 win over the Chasers. Jorge Cantu was the star man for the Gas, hitting four homers and driving in 11 runs. Most of the pitching categories remained close.

The results leave Josh & Jonny Whos at the top of the table, one game ahead of SWAT, with the Giants and Typos close behind. Tribal Warfare have work to do to turn their season around, but with 11 games separating first to 13th, there will likely be a lot of changes in the next few weeks.

My Cheddar Chasers got an absolute pounding on offense, after my batters had such a good time of things the week before. I was lucky that I edged out the pitching categories and therefore made the final result close.

This is going to be a crunch week for the BGB writers. The Cheddar Chasers are up against Russ’s Giants, while Mark’s Isotopes take on Joe’s Rio Crande Typos. Bragging rights are well and truly up for grabs!

I Noticed that one of the names of the teams in your league was the Syracuse Nationals. I have to say that their actually was a NBA team that was called The Syracuse Nationals, sadly they left town in 1963 and became the Philadephia 76ers.

Sorry, bit of a dumb question, how do you put players on the DL? I got injuries left right and centre

thanks

If you click on the position where you want to put the injured player you should see a DL option. Choose this and the player will be put on your DL, freeing up a roster spot for a replacement player. You have a maximum of three DL spots to use at any one time.

Not a dumb question Michael, it took me a fair bit of mouse-clicking before I worked out how to do it!
