As spotted by ‘wmfs’, all of the baseball on ESPN America this evening is listed as ‘Freeview’ (if you’re watching via Sky at least, not sure about Virgin Media and BT). There’s no indication on the ESPN America website as to why this is the case. If it was a planned promotion you would think they would be publicising it, so perhaps it’s to do with the Setanta saga?
Regardless as to why this has happened, the main point is that it will give some British baseball fans the chance to watch an extra game or two this evening. The Braves-Red Sox game begins live at 18.30 BST and the rest of the schedule can be found here.
