Slim pickings again

by Matt Smith

This week’s choice of games on MLB.TV for British fans wanting to catch some live baseball in the evening (all times BST). Unfortunately it looks like another week to catch up on some archived games.

Monday – No evening games today I’m afraid. Jon Lieber and the Phillies against Tim Hudson and the Braves at 00.05 looks the best of the match-ups later in the night.

Tuesday – And again, no live games to choose from during the evening. A.J. Burnett against C.C. Sabathia should be a good battle at 00.05.

Wednesday – The luxury of choice: six games at a convenient time today. Ian Snell should be starting against the Cubs at PNC Park (17.35) while Oliver Perez against Anibal Sanchez should be worth watching from 18.10.

Thursday – One game to choose from and it gives us all a chance to watch the Royals! Their ace Gil Meche is scheduled to face Jered Weaver and the Angels at Kauffman Stadium, first pitch at 19.10.

Friday – You can always rely on the Cubs to provide an evening game for us. They take on the Nationals (you can’t have everything) from 19.20. Carlos Zambrano is provisionally scheduled to start for Chicago, although this may change due to the postponed game last night.

As always, Five have a game on Wednesday night and NASN’s MLB schedule this week can be found here.
