The post-season is here and while the majority of the games will obviously take place during the evening in the U.S. (therefore in the early hours for us), there are a few day games in the division series stage that we can enjoy during the British evening.

(P.S. The start times listed on MLB.com and referred to here are generally a “guide” start time, with the first pitch likely to be thrown ten minutes or so later).

It all starts tonight, in about half an hour in fact. The Phillies and the Rockies begin their series at 20.00 with Jeff Francis and Cole Hamels taking the mound.

The second game of the series in Philadelphia tomorrow is another 20.00 start (a bit harsh on any Philly fans who can’t get the time off work).

On Friday, the third game of the Yankees-Indians series gets going at 22.00.

There could be two early games to enjoy on Sunday. The Red Sox-Angels clash will definitely be starting at 20.00, and if the D-Backs-Cubs series gets to game four then that will be another early game (18.00).

Mind you, with so many great games to look forward to, a bit of sleep deprivation is a very small price to pay! The full post-season schedule can be found here at MLB.com

Five will be showing one of the games tonight (probably the Red Sox-Angels game on a two-hour tape delay) and then another on Sunday as per usual.
