This week’s ‘early’ MLB games: Red Sox-Yankees, Cards-Reds, Cubs-Giants and more

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday all offer us some live baseball during the British evening this working week.

We have a treat to start the week today as the fourth and final game of the Red Sox-Yankees series takes place during the early afternoon in New York.  Wednesday’s batch of games really catch the eye.  The Cardinals-Reds series in Cincinnati should produce plenty of excitement and Wainwright-Arroyo looks an enticing pitching match-up, as does Garza v Verlander, Hanson v Rodriguez and Greinke v Weaver.

Thursday’s games largely focus on the playoff race from the NL West as the Rockies start the action in New York, Matt Cain takes the mound later on in San Francisco and the Padres just sneak into the pre-midnight ‘early’ bracket with their home game against the Buccos.
