The annual British Baseball Photography Competition (BBPC) is back up and running for 2011. The competition will be similar to last year’s, which was won by Emma Morgan, although entrants will now be able to submit up to 24 photos during the contest, an increase of four on last year.
A more significant change to the format is that the judging panel will determine only a shortlist, rather than adjudicating on the overall winner. The winning photo for 2011 will, instead, be determined by an online vote among members of the British baseball community. The winner’s prize will once again be a £100 gift card for a photography shop, donated by BaseballSoftballUK.
For details of how to start submitting your shots, visit the BBPC 2011 area on the Project Cobb website. Be sure to read the full competition rules first. These are available through the link earlier in this paragraph.
Finally, I’d like to wish all of you who choose to enter the 2011 competition “happy shooting”.
